This YA/teen, sweet, coming-of-age, romance is worth the wait. If you’ve read Summer’s End, you should recognize the title of book two. Kiss Me Already picks up exactly where Summer’s End left off. I know the ending of Summer’s End was risky, but you’ll thank me when you turn the pages of Kiss Me Already to chapter one.

  • Will Regan be able to keep her secret?
  • Will Lane and Regan’s friendship last?

If you haven’t read Summer’s End, what are you waiting for?

This swoon-worthy read is COMING SOON.

(This series should be read in numerical order for the benefit of the reader.)

Summer’s End will be featured in Indie Book Connect’s monthly book box!

Book lover, send yourself a surprise gift every month with Indie Book Connect’s book box. I love to come home and see that beautiful box, tattered and marked up, waiting for me to scoop it up and run into the house. The groceries can wait. I grab my scissors and slice through the tape with the care and precision of a scalpel. My chest swells. I moisten my lips and gently unfold the flaps. Breathe, I forgot to breathe. I peek over the top and gasp with delight. My eyes dart around the room to make sure no one is here to see my gem. Air whooshes out my lungs and across my lips. I swallow and savor the thrill of anticipation dancing beneath my sternum. I can’t, not yet. The groceries, the milk, there’s no time to enjoy. So I force myself to hide the gorgeous torn up box in my closet.

I love to come home and see this beautiful box, tattered and marked up, waiting for me to scoop it up and run into the house. The groceries can wait. I peek over the top and gasp with delight. My eyes dart around the room to make sure no one is here to see my gem. I’m not ready to share it. Air whooshes out my lungs and across my lips. I swallow and savor the moment as the thrill of anticipation dances beneath my sternum. I can’t do it, not yet. Homework, groceries there’s no time to enjoy such a gift. So I force myself to hide the gorgeous torn up box in my closet.

Later, after the chores of the evening are complete, I lift my prize out of the closet and hide in the bathroom to unravel what I began earlier. The thrill of waiting has me on the edge of the tub. My mouth feels like I’ve been out in the desert heat all day. I peer inside the box and pull out another beautifully wrapped present. Slow and steady, I unfold the flap. My pulse races through my veins and my breath quickens. Angels sing and a bright light fills my eyes. Books and candles, and bookmarks, Oh my!

This is only a glimpse of how it feels, what it’s like to receive your Indie Book Connect box of goodies! You can get your book box HERE!

Regan Stone’s Journey Continues

School has begun. Regan and her friends settle into a crazy routine . . .

This picture is taken from the parking lot of Regan’s school, where those lucky enough to have a car to drive park. That is the door to the gymnasium. The same gym Regan and Tobi play volleyball in.

Good news! Book number two is coming along well. Regan, Lane, Tobi, Haylee, and Cameron’s lives are unfolding before mine. When I write, I have a game plan. I’m not a pantser, a writer who sits down with no planning and starts typing away as the story unfolds on the page before them. I like to plan the story leaving room for changes. Sometimes the character doesn’t want to go the exact route I plan and I have to make a detour. And that is okay, it makes the story more exciting that way.

Thanks to all of you who have read SUMMER’S END. I’d like to ask you to leave an honest review on Good Reads, Amazon, Kobo, and Barnes & Noble. The more reviews, the more it gets noticed by others. If you liked it, please make sure your recommend it to your friends and family.

SUMMER’S END AVAILABLE TODAY!

Small town gossip fuels a teenage girl’s drive to follow her dream while navigating through the perilous waters of friendship, family, and handsome distractions.

Small town gossip. If you live in a small town, or ever have, you know what I’m talking about. There’s always a couple in every generation who seem to dedicate themselves to being the queen of gossip. Yes, occasionally there is a king, but usually it’s a queen. And if you have ever been their subject, you know how Regan feels. We all react in different ways, but I think Regan handles it pretty good most of the time.

Mostly, Regan has her future to focus on. The gossip drives her desire to leave small town life behind. She has a plan, it’s not perfect, but she thinks she has the bases covered. Her small group of four friends have a plan for their future, too. Sometimes . . . plans change. Family has a strong influence on future plans-whether it’s fair or not.

I hope you enjoy Summer’s End. Let me know who your favorite character is. Tell me your favorite parts. Share Regan’s story with your friends, and help me get the word out.

Please leave a review on Amazon, or the retailer where you purchased Summer’s End. I greatly appreciate it.

If you are new to this site, WELCOME. Please click the green button at the top to receive updates–I promise I won’t blast you with a bunch of annoying emails. Sift through my posts where I have poems written by some of the characters and some about life in general.

SUMMER’S END LAUNCHES TOMORROW!

Here is your last sneak-peek and it’s a good one.

Chapter 18 . . .

“Regan, I know you think I’m good at telling you what
I’m thinking and how I feel about you, but….” I reach my
free hand to his arm and squeeze, holding on tight, leaning
my head against him as we continue to stroll. “I’m scared
of what tomorrow brings. Worried I might fail, that I won’t
be able to handle the classes and all the people . . . afraid
of being away from home, from you, from what I know
and love….” We stop and he turns toward me. “I don’t want
tonight to end,” he chokes out.
Softly I agree, “Tonight’s been the best night of my life.”
My voice is a little rough too, and I’m tearing up. I slide
my arms up and around his shoulders. “I don’t want you to
leave.”

I greatly appreciate your help in this launch process. As always, please let your friends know about Summer’s End and share on your favorite social sites. Book two is already in the works as we continue to follow Regan’s life.

If you are new to this site, click the green button at the top to receive updates-I promise I won’t share it with anyone else.
